[Reconditioned, fully functional, in excellent condition] YAMAHA CR-600 receiver Description This is a masterpiece receiver with a sophisticated design that can be called Yamaha beauty. It is packed with advanced technology that is hard to believe it was made in 1974. It has been adjusted and cleaned, but no parts have been replaced and it is in perfect working order and in excellent condition. It is almost a miracle that a product from half a century ago is original and in perfect working order. There is a chip in the wood case (see image), but I dont think it will be very noticeable when using it. Another rare feature is the ability to adjust loudness in nine steps. ????? A stereo receiver using MOS FET. The main amplifier section uses a pure complementary OCL circuit with direct connection at all stages. The power supply uses a well-regulated power transformer. All circuits except the main amplifier are supplied with voltage from a constant voltage circuit, ensuring stable operation without problems caused by voltage fluctuations. The monolithic IC is adopted as the equalizer amplifier part, and a high S/N ratio and a low distortion are realized. By equipping it with a dedicated loudness adjustment knob, it is possible to adjust the listening experience to suit the actual listening environment. In this circuit, if you set the loudness knob to the FLAT position and set the volume to the position you usually hear, you can control the volume by simply turning the loudness knob when you want to hear it at a smaller volume than that, while increasing the loudness amount from the original volume to a volume 20dB down, maintaining the optimal Hearing balance. The tone control circuit is a Yamaha type with NF applied between the collector and emitter of the two-stage direct-coupled amplifier. This method has low distortion and little residual noise, and produces a flat characteristic at the center of the knob. The FM front end uses dual-gate MOS FETs in the RF and mixer stages. In combination with a frequency-linear precision 4-gang variable capacitor, this increases sensitivity and improves interference rejection. The IF stage consists of an IC and a four-element ceramic filter. Equipped with an AFC circuit, it can accurately tune in to weak stations without being pulled in by strong signal stations.
